Hold your Italian horses - this is just the initial announcement. Customers should prepare to see the first examples arrive in the Land Down Under in December – and eight examples of the limited-edition QV 100th Anniversario will tag along for the ride.
The Stellantis-owned premium Italian automaker is just now coming into its own after finally expanding the range with the Tonale compact crossover SUV and treating the Giulia sedan and Stelvio executive crossover SUV to a nip and tuck. Even better, the company has kicked the proceeds into high gear with the arrival of the '100th Anniversary' editions for Giulia and Stelvio, plus the announcement that a "super sexy" sports car is finally coming at the end of August to become a true flagship model.

The rumor mill, of course, is going berserk, trying to find out as much information as possible about the company's first supercar in 16 years. But Alfa Romeo keeps everything grounded, and, in between, the teasers diligently take care of additional business. In Australia, for example, they just announced the completion of their 2023 model year Giulia and Stelvio range with the addition of the flagship Quadrifoglio 'QV' models.

For them, the logo symbolizes the brand's DNA – "Noble Italian Sportsmanship" – and signals the company's highest-performance cars. Naturally, they also have pricing to match. So, the Giulia QV arrives in Australia's dealerships in December with a base price of AUD 153,700 (that's over $104k at the current exchange rate) for Giulia QV sedans and AUD 162,700 (over $110k) for Stelvio QV crossovers.

With global production limited to just 100 examples, the ultra-exclusive Giulia and Stelvio QV 100 Anniversario editions (released in honor of a century of Quadrifoglio) will also debut in the Land Down Under after customers from Australia placed orders for five Giulia QV 100 and three Stelvio QV 100. Meanwhile, the 'regular' QV range also has its novelties.

The biggest highlight is the introduction of an all-new mechanical limited-slip differential, which "contributes to the improvement of the cars' behavior and traction by optimizing torque transfer and increasing stability, agility, and cornering speed. It also gives the driver a more direct feeling, emphasizing the vehicles' dynamics and sportiness."

Under the hood, meanwhile, the Giulia QV and Stelvio QV soldier on with the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 packing 375 kW (503 hp) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft), enough to propel the sedan to 100 kph (62 mph) in 3.8 seconds and the CUV just one-tenth of a second slower. The new mechanical LSD, a "perfect 50/50 weight distribution," and the QV Active Suspension, Integrated Brake System, plus Q4 AWD System (Stelvio only) or Active Front Aero Splitter (Giulia only) combine to reward the driver with the "ultimate Alfa experience."
