This year, the 2024 Ford Mustang – the seventh by its name (S650) – is alone playing the game of thrones in the American field of pony and muscle cars. Sadly, the rest of the foes – Dodge Charger and Challenger plus Chevy Camaro are no more.
No one knows what will happen with the Challenger going forward after Dodge ended production alongside the final 2023 Charger sedan in December. On the other hand, the latter will return sporting the classic two-door fastback attire to adopt the EV lifestyle. Because the climate allows some more ICE shenanigans, the next-gen Charger will also get a taste of the 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six turbo mills, complete with standard (420 hp) and high-output variants (510 or 540 hp)

On the other hand, at least for now, the story of the Chevy Camaro is sealed and buried. After all, maybe that's a good thing because last year, the Ford Mustang dominated sales ahead of the Challenger, and the sixth-generation Camaro was ranked dead last. However, some folks don't want to see the nameplate gone and also don't have the patience to wait for GM's corner office head honchos to approve the next iteration.

Some of them can even take matters into their own hands – or rather, at the tip of their CGI brush, as is the case here with the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. More precisely, this virtual artist, better known as SRK Designs on social media, has decided to trust his CGI instinct and come up with a dreamy Camaro SS EV sedan! That's a quirky idea, right?

However, it's not precisely bonkers, as there have been whispers around the rumor mill about Chevy turning the Camaro and Corvette nameplates into veritable sub-brands with their own lineups. And one of the body styles thought perfect for the next-gen Camaro was that of a four-door EV sedan. In this case, the pixel master didn't even have to imagine anything fancy – he simply took the muscly looks of the late sixth-gen Camaro and turned its DNA into a four-door sedan while the front is obviously inspired by the new BEV3 models from Chevrolet – Equinox EV and particularly the Blazer EV.

More so, it's not hard to guess the powertrain – the SS moniker suggests the hypothetical Camaro SS EV sedan would borrow the 557-hp setup from the Blazer SS EV along with its zero to 60 mph (96 kph) zippy four-second performance factor. Sure, they could also do a standard RWD model to allow a more affordable price tag along with better range – up to 320 miles (510 km) if the Blazer EV rear-wheel drive is any indication. So, what do you think – is a potential Camaro SS EV sedan a good match for the Tesla Model 3 or not?
