Peugeot has just opened the order books for the 2024 208 and E-208 superminis in the United Kingdom, offering them in multiple configurations and with different powertrains.
The 2024 Peugeot 208 comes in the Active, Allure, and GT grades. The most affordable variant uses a 75 ps (74 hp/55 kW) gasoline engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission and starts at £20,400 (equal to $24,823). From £21,500 ($26,162), customers can get the 100 ps (99 hp/74 kW) gasoline unit with a six-speed manual gearbox. The self-charging hybrid with 100 ps (99 hp/74 kW) and a six-speed auto starts at £23,300 ($28,835).
Moving to the Allure specification, interested parties will have to limit their choice to the latter two powertrains, namely the PureTech 100 and the Hybrid 100. These can be ordered from £23,150 ($28,169) and £24,950 ($30,360), respectively. The GT is also offered with these assemblies, priced from £25,350 ($30,846) for the PureTech 100 and £27,150 ($33,037) for the Hybrid 100. A 136 ps (134 hp/100 kW) self-charging hybrid with a six-speed DCT is also available here from £28,350 ($34,497).
In addition to the normal ICE-powered 208, Peugeot is also offering it in the E-208 configuration. The battery-electric model comes in the Active, E-Style, Allure, and GT trim levels and starts at £32,400 ($39,425) in the most affordable variant. The E-Style bumps the starting price by £250 ($304), and for the Allure, you are looking at £34,050 ($41,433). Priced from £36,250 ($44,110), the GT tops the range, being £1,390 ($1,691) shy of the base Audi A4 in the UK.
All versions of the Peugeot E-208, bar the E-Style, are offered with a 156 ps (154 hp/115 kW) electric motor that is juiced up by a 51 kWh battery pack. The E-Style, on the other hand, brings a less punchy electric motor that generates 136 ps (134 hp/100 kW) and uses a 50 kWh battery. The electric supermini is capable of traveling 362 km (225 miles) on a full charge in the latter configuration, and the WLTP-rated range is 399 km (248 miles) in the former. Recharging it from 20 to 80% takes under 30 minutes at a 100 kW connection and 4 hours and 40 minutes at 7.4 kW.

The range-topper also adds LED reversing lights and indicators. The Active, Allure, and GT grades get a 10-inch touchscreen display, while the E-Style uses a 7-inch screen. The digital instrument cluster is 2D on the Allure and 3D on the GT, and customers can also order the TomTom Live navigation and natural voice recognition as an option.
