Jeep's parent company Stellantis has recently announced that the Grand Cherokee lineup has entered the 2024 model year. That may sound important, but the truth is that the range remains pretty much the same, save for a few modest updates that revolve around the normal Grand Cherokee, the Grand Cherokee L, and the plug-in hybrid Grand Cherokee 4xe.
Starting with the latter, it retains the same plug-in hybrid powertrain, which mixes a 2.0-liter four-banger with two electric motors. It enjoys a total of 375 hp (380 ps/280 kW) and 470 pound-feet (637 Nm) of torque and features a 17 kWh battery pack that enables an all-quiet range of 25 miles or 40 kilometers.

The novelties here include the 18-inch alloys that were added to the Trailhawk. They're finished in black and joined by the new Anniversary Edition, a continuation of last year's model that added the 30th prefix. Curious about what they are celebrating? So are we, but Jeep hasn't said anything about it yet, other than the fact that it features a black exterior with black 20-inch alloys and special logos, leatherette upholstery, a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, a wireless charging pad for compatible smartphones, and several other things.

Powering the 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is the same engine family that includes the 3.6-liter V6 and the 5.7-liter V8. You're looking at 290 hp (294 ps/216 kW) and 257 lb-ft (348 Nm) of torque, and 357 hp (362 ps/266 kW) and 390 lb-ft (529 Nm), respectively. For the new model year, the automaker has given it a painted and polished finish set of 18-inch wheels, which can be ordered on the Limited. Not much to write home about here, but on a more positive note, we've got to mention the starting price, which is the same at $42,130. Speaking of the Benjamins, we should also tell you that the 4xe variant of the 2024 Grand Cherokee is priced the same at $60,460, while the top-of-the-line Summit Reserve is now $595 cheaper, at $77,825.

The normal Grand Cherokee is also priced the same as last year, at $40,130, though there are some discrepancies here, as the entry-level model is actually listed from $39,535 in the online configurator for the Laredo. Like its longer sibling, the 2024 Grand Cherokee gets the same 18-inch alloy wheels with a polished and painted surface and not much else. Everything carries over from the previous model year, including the tech gear, and since the new Grand Cherokee is a relatively new product, having entered production some two years ago, that includes the styling inside and out, as well, and the 3.6-liter V6 powertrain, which steams out 293 hp (297 ps/219 kW) and 260 lb-ft (353 Nm) of torque.
