Cadillac went the safe way with the 2024 Escalade, coming up with only minor updates on the fifth-generation luxury SUV. Those who want to take one home must know that the configurator is now live.
Both the 2023 and 2024 Cadillac Escalade models are right now available on the official website. Prices for the updated SUV are a little higher compared to that of the previous version. The 2023 Escalade starts at $79,795, while the 2024 SUV starts at $81,895 before taxes.

The list of updates includes several new paint options, such as the Black Diamond Tricoat, exclusively available for the high-performance Escalade-V. Meanwhile, the Mahogany Metallic vanished from the list.

Customers can choose either the standard-length body configuration or the extended-length ESV, with the latter coming with an additional overall length, a longer wheelbase, a more spacious cabin, and a larger luggage compartment.

The trims available in the lineup are Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium, Luxury Platinum, and Sport. Those who want more can drive home the high-performance 2024 Cadillac Escalade-V if they are willing to pay at least $152,295.

For the money, customers get the vehicle powered by the hand-built supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that generates 682 horsepower (691 PS) and 653 lb-ft (885 Nm) of torque. Those are enough for a run from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 4.4 seconds and a quarter mile covered in 12.74 seconds at 110 mph (177 kph). That is the engine that has to pull a curb weight of 6,127 pounds (2,820 kilograms).

Unique V-Series front and rear fascia, quad exhaust outlets, exclusive six-piston Brembo front brakes, Edge Red brake calipers, and unique 22-inch aluminum wheels are on the menu. The vehicle is standardly equipped with the Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension.

There is a 38-inch curved OLED display on board. The driver and occupants can enjoy the sound experience provided by the AKG Studio Reference audio system with 36 speakers.

Those who don’t need the top-of-the-line Escalade-V can go for either the 3.0-liter Duramax Turbo Diesel engine with 277 horsepower (281 PS) and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) of torque or the naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower (426 PS) and the exact same amount of torque, both linked to the GM-developed ten-speed automatic transmission. The vehicles can be ordered with either from-wheel or all-wheel drive.

Underpinned by the GM T1 platform, the model is manufactured at the GM Arlington plant in Texas. The Cadillac Escalade should go through a mid-cycle refresh in 2024 and arrive as a 2025 model year. The move was expected to happen this year, but the carmaker postponed it and came up with only minor tweaks for the 2024 model year.
