Facelifted last year, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio has now entered the 2024 model year in the United States. The premium compact crossover gets revised styling and a new limited edition variant and carries competitive pricing across the range.
Visually, the 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio brings new LED matrix headlights, updated taillights, a new insert in the grille, and a fresh 12.3-inch TFT display behind the wheels that has three layouts known as Evolved, Relax, and Heritage, with the latter bringing a historic theme inspired by the brand's '60s and '70s cars.
On top of that, the lineup has gained the Competizione. The limited edition model builds on the Veloce grade and is deemed as “the most luxurious Stelvio offering." Some of the key features include the exclusive Moonlight Gray matte finish, new 21-inch wheels spinning around the red brake calipers, a leather-wrapped dashboard, red stitching on the seats, Competizione logos, darker rear privacy windows, and a Harman Kardon audio system with 14 speakers.
The brand's active suspension is included here, and power is supplied by the 2.0-liter four-banger. Married to an automatic transmission with eight gears and all-wheel drive, it develops 280 hp (284 ps/209 kW) and 306 lb-ft (415 Nm) of torque. This is the same engine offered on the Sprint, Ti, and Veloce versions of the 2024 Stelvio.
The Stelvio Quadrifoglio, aka the range-topping flavor of the series, retains the V6 firepower. The twin-turbocharged engine kicks out 505 hp (512 ps/377 kW) and 443 lb-ft (601 Nm), enabling a 176 mph (283 kph) top speed and a zero to sixty mph (0-97 kph) acceleration in 3.6 seconds.
A quick look on the Italian car brand's official US website reveals that the Stelvio Sprint starts at $45,375 with front-wheel drive and is $2,000 pricier with all-wheel drive. By comparison, the rivaling BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC start at $46,900 and $47,100, respectively. The most affordable Porsche Macan will set you back at least $60,900 before destination, dealer fees, and options.
Some of the highlights of the base model include the power liftgate, power-folding side mirrors with heating function and auto-dimming, keyless entry, heated front and rear seats, dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, rain-sensing wipers, tilting and telescoping steering wheel, and a few other goodies.

The Competizione can be ordered from $58,175, making it $5,390 more expensive than the Veloce on which it builds, with the latter having an MSRP of $52,785. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio kicks off at $88,975, and the Quadrifolio 100th Anniversary, whose production is capped at 100 units globally, starts at $95,975. All versions of the 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, bar the entry-level, feature an all-wheel drive system.
