Instead, Nissan probably wanted to kick off 2021 with a bang, using one of its most popular models to promote its latest styling and technology updates. Cue in the Juke Enigma, a special version that arrives in the Old Continent with a raft of exterior enhancements, such as special 19-inch “Akari” alloy wheels and “intricately patterned decals” for a stealthier personality.
The company proposes just three body color options - Gun Grey or Pearl White with a Black roof, or a menacing all-black look. More importantly, the Juke Enigma is Nissan’s first European model of the series that becomes available with Amazon’s Alexa online voice assistant.
Customers who already purchased the latest iteration of the Juke and have the latest version of the NissanConnect infotainment system will also enjoy the new connectivity solution, though. As such, Juke users can access the Nissan Skill with Amazon Alexa for “remote voice connectivity features via smartphone app or an Amazon Echo device.”
That means owners can control some of the Juke’s functions remotely, either using the smartphone app or simply by linking the car to an Alexa device at home. There is a total of “13 bespoke utterances” that range from sending new addresses to the crossover’s embedded navigation system to finding the car in the parking lot, turning on the lights, or checking the range and if the doors are safely locked.
According to the brand, the Juke Enigma will arrive at dealerships in the United Kingdom starting this month, with pricing kicking off from £23,195 (around $31,527 at the current exchange rates).
