Nissan’s all-new Juke doesn’t need many updates for the 2021 model year since it just switched to the second generation. But the Japanese company knows there’s no better December advertising than getting in the mood for Christmas. Hence, the little crossover now has "The Happy Holiday Playlist" to keep it company for the 2020/2021 ‘tis the season to be jolly’ period.
It is not the first time the brand has outed a special collection of tunes, and we suspect this new Spotify endeavor has to do with its desire to promote some of the high-tech features found inside the second-generation Juke.
We’re not getting the vibe on our own – Nissan is expressly nominating "The Happy Holiday Playlist" as something best experienced “in crystal-clear quality with Juke's Bose Personal Plus audio system,” with the NissanConnect system and In-Car Wi-Fi hotspot to take care of the streaming details.
“The joy of driving goes hand-in-hand with the uplifting power of music. With its fun-to-drive personality and premium Bose Personal Plus audio system, the Nissan Juke offers the perfect opportunity to relish all the fun that the open road has to offer. This is where Juke really comes into its element,” said Arnaud Charpentier, Vice President, Product Marketing, Nissan Europe.
That’s not all, because aside from the new list of tunes, the company is also lightly updating the 2021 Juke for the UK market with the introduction of a new Euro 6D-compliant engine. The DIG-T petrol mill with an unspecified displacement comes with 114 PS (113 hp) and 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) of torque, and should bring down harmful emissions by an average of a hardly spectacular 1 g/km.
Unfortunately, that also means the 2021 Juke with the DIG-T is £500 ($669 at the current exchange rates) more expensive compared to the model equipped with the current 1.0-liter DIG-T engine, starting from £18,360 ($24,569) for the base Visia trim. Going for the flagship Tekna+ DCT means customers will need to shell out at least £26,360 ($35,274).
