2016 Nissan GT-R Nismo Owner Obeys 1,500-Mile Break-In, Wild Track Day Follows

The clip shows the Godzilla owner explaining how he followed every instruction in the manual for the recommended 1,500-mile (2,500 km) break-in interval. Having passed that point, the owner decided to throw all 600 hp of the twin-turbo VR38DETT under the hood onto the overly intelligent all-wheel-drive system of his R35.

The man also wanted to keep things on the right side of the law, so he jumped straight to a track day. For this purpose, the owner turned to Leonid "Crazy Leo" Urlichich, a Russian-born Canadian rally driver with national and World Rally Car Championship experience.

The two hit the track together, putting the Nismo tool through its paces - we'll remind you that while this might still be an evolution of the R35 GT-R that entered production back in 2007, its $149,990 MRSP is roughly double the initial price of the supercar.

And while some of you might expect such a careful owner to be a novice, that's far from the truth. In fact, as you'll be able to see in the video below, this guy knows his way around internal combustion machines. From riding superbikes to a racing 7s Foxbody Mustang and a lifted truck, the guy has had plenty of experience in the velocity field. Speaking of which, the 'Stang this man raced happens to be about as quick as the world's fastest R35 Nissan GT-R (1/4-mile).
