Mazda's launch in the US should take place in mid-August, but the Japanese are not wasting any time as that date approaches, so they released the official pricing for the new 2016 CX-3 crossover.
According to Mazda North American Operations, the new CX-3 crossover will wear a starting price tag of $19,960 MSRP, without including the $880 fee for destination and handling.

Funny thing is, the Nissan Juke starts at $20,250 in the US, but in Europe, the entry-level CX-3 can be had for €17.990 (around $19,605 at current exchange rates), while the entry-level Nissan costs €15,450 (around $16,835 at current exchange rates).

In any case, three grades are available for the Mazda CX-3 on the American market, namely CX-3 Sport, CX-3 Touring ($21,960) and CX-3 Grand Touring ($24,990).

Mazda is offering only one engine option for the CX-3 in the US. Therefore, you'll only be able to get the SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter engine producing 146 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 146 lb-ft of torque at 2,800 rpm.

Resource management for this mill is done exclusively through the SKYACTIV-DRIVE six-speed automatic transmission while you can opt for FWD or i-Active, Mazda's AWD system.

Standard equipment includes a seven-inch, touchscreen for the infotainment system, backup camera, and push-button starter as well as power windows, power door locks, and remote keyless entry.

As you go higher up the range, the i-ACTIVESENSE package is available for the CX-3, offering Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Smart City Brake Support, Smart Brake Support, High Beam Control System, Lane Departure Warning System, rain-sensing wipers and auto on/off headlights.
