Some weeks after the 2016 Honda Sedan received a refreshed attitude through a comprehensive facelift, it's time for the two-door version to undergo the same treatment.
Those of you who remember what the 2016 Honda Accord Sedan had to offer can already hold an idea on what the facelifted Accord Coupe brings to the table. But those who weren't paying attention are in line for a memory refresh.

Let's start with the visual department. As it was the case with the saloon, the 2016 Accord Coupe gets new front and rear bumpers, a redesigned grille, revised taillights and new aluminum wheels.

One particular detail we like is the introduction of those Acura-inspired LED headlights for the Touring trim.

Besides the colour choices it shares with the sedan, the Accord Coupe comes with two extra options Deep Blue Opal Metallic and Still Night Pearl.

Cabin-wise, the same set of changes can be spotted, namely the shiny piano black décor (only for the LX-S variant) or the sleeker metal imitation dashboard trim (available on the EX or above levels).

According to Honda, engineers tweaked the car's chassis and added more efficient dampers and an improved electric power steering system. Also, the hood is now made of aluminum, "benefitting both fuel efficiency and dynamic performance."

Speaking of performance, that aluminum hood we were telling you about hides two engine options.

The entry level is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder mill with 185 horsepower and 181 lb-ft (245 Nm) of torque, while the solution for more demanding customers comes from a V6 good for 278 horsepower and 252 lb-ft (341 Nm) of torque.

Remember when Honda said the Accord will feature "the most comprehensive suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies in the midsize car class?"

Well, the tech is strong with the Accord Coupe as well. Courtesy of Honda Sensing, drivers can rely on systems like Collision Mitigation Braking, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Warning.
