One Piece Themed Honda Accord Is an Anime Geek Kind of Cool

Some of Europe's young motorists didn't grow up reading car magazines and watching Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear. They grew up on cartoons, Japanese cartoons which have a tenderncy to be more diverse and original than the ones made by Marvel and DC Comics.

We've already brought you a Golf GTD that's been themed after Dragonball Z, probably the most famous Japanese fictional creation after Godzilla and the Power Rangers. This time, we bring you something a little less famous, but just as important.

An old Honda Accord sedan (as in Euro-spec) has been wrapped in a custom-made wrap that features characters from One Piece, another all-time great Japanese anime. To be honest, none of us has watched the show, so we had to do a bit of digging.

Apparently, One Piece is famous for its really weird character design. The show is about pirates and centers around Monkey D. Luffy and the crew he builds around him. Together, they go on all sorts of adventures in a world that has numerous races, including mermaids, fish men, giants and serpent people. The series started with a comic in 1997 and currently boasts 76 written volumes and over 660 TV episodes. Imagine that!

Just like the Dragonball Z Golf GTD, the One Pice Honda Accord has its own Facebook page, which is called Straw Hat Pirate, named after Luffy's famous head attire. Check it out!
