Subaru has revealed US pricing information for its very first production hybrid model, the 2014 XV Crosstrek Hybrid, which is scheduled to arrive in nationwide dealerships later this year.
Powered by the company’s familiar 2.0-liter, four-cylinder Boxer engine (148 HP/145 lb-ft) coupled with an electric motor rated at 13.4 HP and 48 lb-ft of torque, the VX Crosstrek Hybrid will start at $26,820 (including destination and handling). The Touring model, which is motivated by the same powertrain, will wear a sticker that starts from $30,120.
Both vehicles are fitted with Active Torque Split - developed from Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, while the Touring version gets a 6.1-inch touchscreen navigation, leather seats and a power sunroof.
The 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid was unveiled at the 2013 New York Auto Show this spring.
