With rumors of a new interpretation of the Gold Wing core emerging weeks ago, we were thrilled to see Honda's new take on the acclaimed F6B. What was supposed to be called the Honda F6C is now offered with the much mightier name of Valkyrie, and by all means, Odin or Thor would be glad to ride this bike.
The 2014 Valkyrie rolls with an 1,832cc six-cylinder boxer engine fed through Honda's PGM-FI injection technology, but no figures on power and torque have been released yet.

With a weight of 750 lb (under 340 kg), the 2014 Honda Valkyrie is quite a nice piece of powercruiser machinery. The optional ABS will add a bit of weight but it will be rather insignificant.

We fell in love with the F6B at first sight, and the Valkyrie is not any different, especially as the pillion seat is easily removable and the beast can turn into a proper muscle bike.

Thanks to the more slender, revised front end, the 2014 Honda Valkyrie looks more compact and adds a most welcome dash of modern design to a classic idea.

Add in a multi-function LCD instrument cluster and LED lighting, dual 310mm front rotors and a 316mm rear one, carefree shaft drive and the traditional Honda reliability for a power cruiser which we believe to be a game changer, even though the VMAX, Diavel or the Rocket III are exceptionally worthy competition. Price TBA soon.
