Honda maintains the NC700X bike in the same segment where it was launched, as it proved to be a good seller and a bike thoroughly enjoyed by all who threw a leg over it.
The 2014 NC700X is a nifty all-rounder with a hefty dose of enduro-touring DNA and will not be exactly shy to step off the asphalt.

However, this is no Africa Twin and definitely no 600cc Transalp: it comes with cast 17" rims with street-grade tubeless tires, so hitting the rocks hard with the NC700X is not the best idea. Shoeing the 2014 NC700X with some more off-road-worthy tires could make it better off the beaten path, maybe.

The 670cc parallel twin engine can be mated to a manual 6-speed gearbox, or to an automatic DCT one. If you go for the DCT, you also get the C-ABS trim for the bike.

One of the nice features which make the 2014 NC700X a very nifty city bike is the underseat tank. It centralizes the mass, enhancing handling and allows the pace where traditional tanks are to be transformed in a nifty storage box.

The top storage is 21 liters and is shaped so that a full-face helmet fits in there perfectly. And for the city rider this is pure gold. Prices are still TBA, but we expect to be in the same affordable area as the 2013 model.

The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 may be a rival, but we doubt it will be anywhere under the €10k ($13,400) mark.
