Step by step, middleweight bikes are getting bigger. While we're not exactly fans of the "bigger is better" approach, we must admit that the new 2014 CBR650F Honda is ready to surface is a really nifty step up.
The 2014 Honda CBR650F is more than a CBR600F with a redesigned fairing and a stroked out engine. The bike is in fact a new machine from the ground up. It obviously shares the platform with the new CB650F and history teaches us that this approach has worked very well with Honda.

With a 649cc engine to deliver 86hp and 46 lb-ft (62 Nm) of torque, the 2014 Honda CBR650F is not exactly a beast, but it's no slacker, either. Aimed at younger customers in search of a sporty all-rounder, this bike can also be a nifty daily commuter, especially as Honda claims it is good for 60 mpg (3.9 l/100 km).

The design is true to Honda's new lines which bring in edgy shapes and a very compact attire, and the underbelly exhaust is very good-looking choice which helps centralize mass for better handling and keeps the tail section clean.

With the Japanese manufacturers becoming more careful for the riders' budgets lately, we might expect the 2014 Honda CBR650F to surface with a good price, especially as the rival Yamaha MT-07 is soon to start shipping with a very tempting price.
