With the impressive history in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (or DTM for short) the M3 Coupe has it was highly unlikely for BMW to make the M4 anything less than spectacular. After all, it's that car's job to pick up where the M3 stop this year.
The race in Zandvoort, the 9th of the 2013 season, marked not only the second consecutive win for Augusto Farfus in the championship but also the 50th for the M3 in the popular competition.

50 wins mean a lot and to get a grasp of just how hard such a number is to achieve, you should know that no other car that ever raced in this competition doesn't even come close.

Now, it's time for a new era. Unlike other manufacturers BMW always relied on the M3 in the DTM, whilst Audi, for example, used the TT, A4, A5 and RS5 over the years and Mercede-Benz used the CLK, C-Class and C-Coupe.

The new era will begin with the M4. BMW already confirmed that for the 2014 season the new Coupe will take over in the DTM. However, we have no idea how it will look like.

Even though we saw the Concept Car at Pebble Beach earlier this year, the DTM versions rarely look like anything you'd come across on the street. That's why Stance Works put together some rough renderings of how the M4 might look like, based on M3's legacy. Enjoy!
