It seems like the official 2014 DTM M4 car won't be the only one based on the car that is bound to replace the M3 Coupe. According to World Car Fans, one of their sources claims that a customer racer might also be possible.
The car, dubbed "M4 Race Car" is supposed to make it official debut December, towards the end of the year, and might even show up in the 2014 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
Since the stock M4 will be using a bi-turbo 3-liter, 6-cylinder engine with around 430 HP and over 500 Nm (370 lb-ft) of torque and the source claims the racer will be budget oriented, we're guessing it won't need too many changes.
With a rumored price of ERU65,000 (USD88,290/GBP54,950), this will definitely be very appealing for most customer racing teams that want good performance for a good price.
