In typical rally car hooning video style, the Dodge Rart for RallyCross made its ebut today. The action wheelman Travis Pastrana pulls off is so extremely hooliganist that the bumper comes off the brand new Dodge Dart racer.
In case you didn’t know, RallyCross is a very exciting course that combines both asphalt and off-road racing in the same race. This video of the 600 horsepower Dart was shot at Chrysler's Chelsea Proving Grounds, and proves the car has what it takes to wow the crowd when racing gets underway in May.
What Dodge ‘forgot’ to tell us is that their car is built by experts in the Scandinavian flick... namely the Scandinavians.
"The sport is extremely exciting and the on-track action can be brutal on the drivers and the cars," said Bailey. "The cars are jumping higher than ever and landing safely", commented Reid Bigland, President and CEO - Dodge Brand. "The Dart rally car is lightweight with a very powerful motor. The zero to 60 mile-per-hour times are incredible, as low as 1.9 seconds, so with Travis behind the wheel, we can't wait for the season opener."
The car features a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that generates 600hp and 745Nm (550 lb-ft) of torque and is mated with a Sedav gearbox.
