You’ve probably already been introduced to the CX-5, but just to make sure, the Japanese carmaker has dropped a video to show you how the compact crossover will look while you drive it in its urban natural environment.
This is actually Mazda’s attempt to steal sales from the Toyota RAV4 and VW Tiguan, but it’s still too early to say if they will be successful.
Mazda can fit two engines and a pair of transmission behind that stubby nose. The first option is a 2.0-liter gasoline engine delivering around 165 hp, but if you want a diesel the only choice is the 2.2-liter turbocharged unit with 170 hp. These can be mated to either a choice of either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
Expect to see the CX-5 on a city block near you at the end of the year.
