The Russian Way to Kill a Mazda

Cold (or cool, depending on your view), calculated and extremely effective. Three words that have defined the Russians for years now come together in the video below, a video that shows what appears to be a murder. The murder of two brand new Mazdas that sit quietly in a parking lot somewhere.

All the action took place late last year and it involves a car-eating truck monster and a pair of Mazda6. The driver of the truck, calm and undisturbed, gets behind his cabin and begins pointing the menacing jaw of his crane right onto the top of the first victim. What follows is hard to watch for those with a soft spot for cars.

Now, the obvious question that arises is what did the Mazdas or their owners do to deserve this fate? Some say they have been illegally parked, others that this is a Russian mafia revenge and so on. Yet, after a bit of Sherlock Holmes action (or at least Poirot), we have found some tell-tale signs of a Mazda sanctioned action. Or something similar.

First clue: the cars have no license plates, meaning that they are not illegally parked. Second clue: in the left of the screen, you can see the damaged rear end on yet another car. Third clue: the silver Mazda already has a damaged roof line on the driver's side. Fourth clue: nobody screams in horror.

Conclusion: the cars are already damaged and have either been written off by insurers or have been damaged by transport (Japanese auto makers have made a habit out of destroying the vehicles that cannot be sold due to damage).
