2011 Volkswagen Jetta Pricing for Europe Announced

German automaker Volkswagen has finally put on a price tag for the European market on its new Jetta model, which comes with enhanced interior features and a refreshed exterior. Getting straight to the point, pricing for the 2011 VW Jetta, which will come available in three trim levels (Trendline, Comfortline and Highline), starts at EUR20,900.

The new Jetta measures 4.64 meters (183 inch) in length, which means an additional 9 cm (3.54 inch) when compared to the previous generation, closing the gap between the Golf (4.20 metres / 165 inch) and Passat (4.77 metres / 188 inch) in the European market.

Engine wise, the model will be made available with an extensive range of engines, starting with the 1.2 TSI (105 PS) on the entry-level and ending with the 2.0 TDI DSG (140 PS). The most fuel efficient version is the 1.6-litre TDI (105 PS) , which offers consumption levels of 4.2l/100km (56 mpg) and CO2 emissions of 109 grams per km. The base price of the Jetta 1.6 TDI Trendline with BlueMotion Technology is EUR23,475.

Speaking of Jetta’s equipment levels, the entry version (Trendline) comes with 16-inch steel wheels, six airbags (with an optional eight), daytime running lights, belt fastening detection, automatic hazard flasher lights, Hill Climb Assist and ABS with braking assistant and ESP with trailer stabilisation, multifunctional display (MFA) and a height-adjustable driver’s seat.

Moving on, the Comfortline (starting at EUR22,600) adds 8-way adjustment of driver and front passenger seats, the RCD 210 radio-CD system, a Chrome Pack a Small Leather Pack (leather-trimmed steering wheel, gearshift grip and parking brake grip), 16-inch, 5-spoke “Navarra” alloy wheels, and the Park Pilot assistance system.

Finally, the top of the line Highline version (starting at EUR24,575) brings 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome frame around lower air intake screen, chrome trim under the side windows, headlight cleaning system and front fog lights with cornering lights and an automatic climate control.
