Bennetts Fulfill Biking Dream of Competition Winner

In celebration of their 80th anniversary, British insurance company Bennetts have launched the Biker Dreams campaign in mid-May 2010. That campaign was won by a 24-year-old Doncaster resident named Martin Bradley, who wanted to spend a day in the pits of a top race team.

Bennetts arrange for Martin and his guest Leah to spend race day with Aprilia World Superbike rider and 2009 British Superbike Champion Leon Camier.

In addition to that, they were also with Camier in the Aprilia garage as his team wrapped up the World Superbike Championship and the final victory of the season.

“I really can’t thank Bennetts, Leon and his team enough for the fantastic time we both had,” said Bradley. “It was only when we were in the garage being shown around and told about everything that goes on behind closed doors away from the cameras that you realise just how dedicated and talented the riders, all of the team and the mechanics really are. To see them working in a race environment was a real privilege. Also getting to meet a rider like Leon was an honour, and to find he is so down to earth was fantastic.

“The best part of the whole experience had to be getting to sit on Leon’s race bike whilst he talked me through all the intricate details. It was something I will definitely never forget,”
he added.

Martin and Leah’s dream day was complete as they were treated to the full VIP experience which included behind-the-scenes garage tours, team clothing and access to the luxurious Aprilia hospitality facility throughout the day.

“It was a pleasure to have Martin and Leah join us at Magny Cours. It was a great day for the whole Aprilia team, winning the Championship title and taking yet another victory, so there really couldn’t have been a better day for them to have been in the garage!” said Camier.
