2011 Subaru Forester Images Released

Subaru has offered us the details that will be introduced on the 2011 Model Year Forester earlier this year. Now, the automotive producer is showing us the first images of the 2011 Forester.

As you know, the CUV’s engine range will welcome the new 2.5 liter boxer engine that delivers 170 hp and a maximum torque of 174 lb-ft. (236 Nm). In addition to that, the fuel economy has been improved, for both the manual and automatic transmission models.

The new unit returns the following figures: 21 mpg (11.2 l/100km) city / 27 mpg (8.7 l/100km) highway, compared to the 2010 model’s 20/27 mpg (11.7/8.7 liters per 100 km ) for the manual gearbox and 20/26 mpg (11.7/9 liters per 100 km) for the automatic transmission.

The 2011 Forester line-up has received a new 2.5X Touring equipment level (positioned above the Limited). This brings features like HID headlights (low beam) with automatic height adjustment, display audio system with backup camera, dual zone automatic climate control, silver finish roof rails, electroluminescent gauges, and side mirrors with integrated turn signals.

The automaker is also introducing a new audio system with rear camera for 2.5X Limited and Touring and 2.5XT Touring models: AM/FM stereo with single-disc CD/DVD player and six speakers, 4.3-inch display screen, Radio Broadcast Data System, 3.5mm auxiliary input jack, Bluetooth hands free calling and audio streaming, iPod control capability, USB port and Sirius Satellite Radio capability. (The backup camera is standard on 2.5X Touring and 2.5XT Touring and available as an accessory for 2.5X Limited).

The 2.5X Premium and 2.5XT Premium come with a new standard audio system, which offers AM/FM stereo with single-disc CD player and six speakers, 3.5mm auxiliary input jack, Bluetooth hands free calling and audio streaming, iPod control capability, USB port and Sirius Satellite Radio capability.
