Chevrolet launched the Camaro in 1967, and unsurprisingly, the base model was the big star of the show. It accounted for 121,000 units of all 220,906 Camaros that rolled off the assembly lines this year, with the RS becoming the second most popular version with nearly 65,000 units. The SS was third with 34,411 units.
The icing on the Camaro cake was the Z/28, but its production was rather limited, with only a little over 600 customers ordering this top-of-the-range (and also the most expensive) configuration.

The Z/28 was a lot more popular in 1968. Its production almost reached 7,200 units, with Chevrolet now making over 23,000 Camaros. More than 159,000 units rolled off the assembly lines in the base configuration, while the production of the RS and SS dropped to 41,000 and 27,800 units, respectively.

The 1968 Camaro posted on eBay by seller michigan-plates wears the SS tags, but the car seems to hide a disappointing secret under these intriguing logos. The owner says the vehicle is unlikely to be an SS, though the customer must have this tidbit checked, especially because a fully restored model with the original SS package could be a lot more expensive.

They didn't thoroughly investigate the vehicle, as it was pulled from a barn not long ago. It spent 25 years in a barn, but despite the long tenure away from the tarmac, it still exhibits a great shape. The floors are in solid shape, while the paint looks great, considering the vehicle's age. A car parked for over two decades typically comes with rust damage in places like the floors and the trunk pan, but this Camaro has likely been parked in proper conditions, away from high humidity levels.

The Camaro is not a perfect car, and the years in storage took their toll. You'll find some rust spots on the quarters and the trunk lid, but overall, the vehicle doesn't require more than minor and usual fixes.

The 327 V8 under the hood is likely the original unit that came with the car. It's paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission, but it's unclear if the numbers match. I believe they do, but given the SS tags are not real, you must inspect everything thoroughly to determine how original everything continues to be on this otherwise intriguing Camaro.

Unsurprisingly, this Camaro doesn't sell cheaply, but the owner might also accept other offers. They want $27,500 for the vehicle, but considering the Make Offer option is also active, you can contact the seller if you have other deals in mind.

The Camaro is parked in New Boston, Michigan, and you should be able to drive it home on its wheels, given the excellent condition.
