Here's a question whose answer you probably do not know: which is faster in a straight-line battle between the Honda Accord and the Chevrolet Camaro, with both of them packing a turbocharged four-cylinder engine?
These two unlikely rivals, with one of them being a mid-size sedan and the other a muscle car, met at a drag racing event, presumably not long ago, to settle their dispute. The fight appears to have taken place at the Barona Dragstrip in Lakeside, California, and at the end of the run, there was one clear winner.

A tenth-gen example, the Honda Accord in question is said to pack the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The mill is based on the one powering the era's Civic Type R, albeit featuring different pistons and camshafts and a smaller turbo. The result is 252 hp (256 ps/188 kW) and 273 lb-ft (370 Nm) of torque deployed to the front wheels through a ten-speed automatic transmission.

Just like its indirect challenger from the Japanese auto marque, the Chevrolet Camaro depicted on video below also uses a four-banger. It is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with forced induction that produces 275 hp (279 ps/205 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. This model is available with a stick shift or an auto 'box delivering the thrust to the rear wheels.

It may not be that big a difference between them when it comes to the output and thrust available at a hard push of the right pedal. Nonetheless, it is obvious that the balance tilts in favor of the muscle car. Not only that, but the bowtie brand's vehicle that took on the Accord in an ad-hoc battle is said to have been tuned. The new numbers are unknown, but we're probably looking at over 300 horsepower.

If that's indeed the case, then it is clear that this Camaro should be faster in a straight-line battle than the Honda Accord. Mind you, trying to guess the big winner is kind of tricky, especially when placing a little bet, though without even clicking the play button on the video shared at the bottom of the page, we'd pick the muscle car.

But you don't have to, as the Accord might turn out to be faster. How come, you ask? Well, the driver plays an important factor when it comes to quick off-the-line sprints, and the perfect takeoff could mean the difference between winning and losing. Thus, if the person holding the wheel of the Honda turns out to be more experienced than the Chevy's driver, the outcome could be different.

So, which of the two went across the finish line first? We won't spoil the outcome, so there is only one way to find out.
