I've always found it hard to find something to complain about on the Pontiac Bonneville (at least, on the first four generations), and the 1963 model year makes no exception.
Part of the third-generation lineup, the 1963 Bonneville was available with the already famous 389 V8 installed by Pontiac on several other models. However, the 1963 model year witnessed a substantial debut in terms of engines.

The Super Duty monster was launched as an exclusive 1963 upgrade with a displacement of 421 cubic inches and a 425-horsepower rating. The legendary engine used two four-barrel carburetors to deliver track performance that made the Bonneville famous across the States.

The 1963 example that landed on eBay doesn't have the engine that everybody drools over but what looks to be a 389. The owner didn't share many specifics about the mill under the hood, though they mentioned that the car runs and drives properly.

A 1963 Bonneville convertible is a highly desirable classic, especially when flexing a good shape and an all-original setup. The owner says the entire car is original, though it has already received several important repairs. It comes with new brakes and a new tank, but it doesn't mean the Bonneville no longer needs further attention.

It does, and dealing with the rust invasion should be a priority for the next owner. The owner says this Pontiac is a "no rust California car," but a photo of the undersides reveals what looks to be surface damage that you must take care of after the purchase. The convertible still looks good for its age, but a fresh coat of paint is the only option. It'll also need a new top.

The interior flexes a much better shape than you'd expect on a 1963 Pontiac that has never been restored. All windows work, but you'll have to find a new dashpad and carpet. The seats look great, except for the typical damage on a car this old.

Parked in 1988, this car has been sitting for decades, and while the owner doesn't share additional information, I believe this long tenure happened indoors. As a result, the convertible escaped the wrath of bad weather, which explains the solid metal condition and the good interior.

The bidding is already underway, but there's a long way from the current top offer to the expected selling price. eBay seller sellingbytheseashore believes $22,500 is a fair price for this Bonneville, but the highest offer they received so far as part of the auction is $530. They also enabled a reserve, meaning that the Internet must significantly increase the bidding before giving this car a second chance. You can find it in Northridge, California, and despite the working engine, you'll have to tow the car back home.
