The 2001 MY Husqvarna SM 610 S addresses supermotard fans that want a more gritty machine. It comes with a performance-oriented suspension package, composed of a Marzocchi upside down fork in the front and a Sachs progressive rear monoshock, which not only make for a more plush ride, but significantly boosts its cornering abilities. In addition, a big, 320mm front brake disc coupled to a 220 mm rear unit decrease its stopping distance, and makes for an overall safer machine. At its heart lies a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 577cc, single cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission.
