APRILIA ETV 1000 Caponord (2010-2011) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord was an adventure motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia from 2001 until 2017. The first series was produced between 2001 and 2003 and was part of the same family as the Aprilia RST 1000 Futura and RSV Mille.

The second series debuted in 2004 and was introduced with several technical, visual, and mechanical modifications. In addition, since 2004, the bike has been marketed with an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) as standard due to the collaboration between Brembo and Boasch.

In 2010, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord, an enduro motorcycle that packed the same technical, visual, and performance specifications as previous models without significant modifications.

The bike was fitted with standard features in the visual department, such as a half fairing with a large headlight unit, a medium-sized windscreen, hand guards, a two-piece dual seat with passenger grab handles, a high-mounted exhaust system, an engine cover, and wire-spoke wheels.

The bike's suspension system comprised a 50 mm Marzocchi telescopic fork on the front with 175 mm of travel and an aluminum alloy swingarm with an adjustable Sachs shock absorber on the rear, offering optimum suspension performance and handling.

Power-wise, the 2010 Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord had its soul brought to life by a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine fed by an Electronic Fuel injection (EFI) system, boasting 98 hp at 8,250 rpm and 97 Nm (72 lb-ft) torque at 6,250 rpm.
