The Aprilia ETV Caponord was a road enduro motorcycle manufactured by Aprilia between 2001 and 2017. In addition, the bike was part of the same family as the Aprilia RST 1000 Futura and RSV Mille.

The first series was released in 2001 and continued production until 2003, benefiting from a frame design gained over years of experience in the 125 and 250 World Championship classes.

In 2001, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord, an enduro motorcycle suitable for paved and unpaved roads, addressing those riders searching for a machine to explore the surroundings.

Visually, the motorcycle was fitted with standard features, such as a half fairing with a large headlight, a medium-sized windscreen, a two-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, an under-seat-mounted exhaust system, and wire-spoke wheels.

The bike was built around a twin-beam box-type aluminum-magnesium alloy frame with a 50 mm Marzocchi fork with 175 mm of travel on the front and an adjustable Sachs shock absorber with 185 mm travel on the rear.

The braking performance was handled by two 300 mm brake discs with dual-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 270 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper on the rear wheel.

As for the power figures, the 2001 Aprilia ETV 1000 Caponord had installed a 998cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine at its core, boasting 98 hp at 8,250 rpm and 97 Nm (72 lb-ft) torque at 6,250 rpm.
