APRILIA Dorsoduro 750 ABS (2013-2014) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2013, the Italian bike maker released the Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 ABS, a naked motorcycle in its sixth consecutive year of production, packing the same specifications as previous models without significant modifications.

The bike was presented at the 2007 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan as the SMV 750 Dorsoduro and released into the market in 2008. It was based on the Aprilia Shiver 750, which shared the frame and engine but a different suspension tuning.

As its name suggests, the 2013 Dosroduro 750 ABS came equipped with additional safety equipment, such as an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) that enhanced its controllability on different surfaces and in certain conditions.

In the visual department, the bike had standard features, such as 12-spoke front and 10-spoke rear alloy wheels, a high-mounted front fender, a single seat, an off-set rear shock absorber, and a dual exhaust system with two mufflers mounted under the seat.

Suspension-wise, the bike was fitted with a 43 mm adjustable inverted telescopic fork on the front, an aluminum alloy swingarm, and an adjustable off-set horizontally mounted shock absorber on the rear.

As for power, the 2013 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 ABS had its soul brought to life by a 749cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 92 hp at 8,750 rpm and 81 Nm (60 lb-ft) torque at 4,500 rpm.
