APRILIA Dorsoduro 750 ABS (2008-2009) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2008, alongside the standard Dorsoduro 750, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 ABS, the same motorcycle but with a safety feature in the form of an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).

The Aprilia Dorsoduro was a range of V-twin powered motorcycles part of the supermotard class produced by Aprilia since 2008. The range comprised three models: the standard 750cc model, the later 1200cc version, and the final 900cc model.

The Aprilia Dorsoduro was the first in the series, presented at the EICMA Show in Milan as the SMV 750 Dorsoduro. It was based on the Shiver 750, sharing the same engine and frame but with a different suspension tuning.

It packed standard features, such as a small front cowl with a single headlight, a high-mounted front fender, a one-piece dual seat, an under-seat-mounted exhaust system, and 12-spoke alloy wheels.

The bike packed a 43 mm upside-down telescopic fork with 160 mm of travel on the front and an adjustable shock absorber on the rear with 160 mm of travel, providing excellent suspension performance and handling.

As for the power figures, the 2008 Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 ABS had its soul brought to life by a 749cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 92 hp with maximum strength at 8,750 rpm and 81 Nm (60 lb-ft) torque at 4,500 rpm.
