Don't let the title above confuse you, no MINI will star in the next Mad Max movie. The British automaker is just having some mid-summer camping fun with three new concept cars.
According to the car manufacturer, the MINI Clubvan Camper, the MINI Cowley, and the MINI Countryman ALL4 Camp were designed to "reflect different aspects of the rise in popularity of camping and festivals, creating a choice of premium home-from-home options for the enthusiastic traveller."
Described as the world's smallest luxury camper van, the MINI Clubvan Camper offers a spacious sleeping berth for one person, extendible kitchenette with propane stove and chest fridge, and a small glass panel in the roof that can be used for both ventilation or star-gazing.
The more compact MINI Cowley, also a luxurious overnight solutions, is equipped with a twin-ring gas stove, fridge and sink, water tank, two sleeping berths and a solar module for the on-board battery that can be used to power TV/DVD and audio equipment.
The third concept car, the MINI Countryman ALL4 Camp is described as a safari-style accommodation for the adventurous spirit. The vehicle has a roof-top tent and an intelligent all-wheel drive system that enables it to travel over rough terrain. The Countryman ALL4 can also transport a mountain bike, while the roof-top tent can be folded away into a box.
All three concept cars have been developed "to showcase the depth of the MINI range" and won't be offered as production vehicles.
