Jaguar has released the first video featuring it’s latest Project 7 concept car, a vehicle based on the F-Type sportscar that will be showcased at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Built to honor Jaguar’s seven wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Project 7 single-seater bears resemblance to the iconic D-Type race car and sports an aluminum body, several carbon fiber parts and a unique interior.
As we already told you, the Ecurie Ecosse-painted prototype is power by the company’s 5.0-liter V8 engine that boasts 550 HP and 680 Nm of torque. Now, thanks to Jaguar, we can see it in action for a little bit and hear that engine flex its muscles at the track. Did we say it was inspired by the D-Type? Well, by the sound of that mill, it sure is worthy of such an ancestor.
