Production Version of Cadillac ELR to Debut At Pebble Beach Next Year

It will also reportedly use an evolution of the current architecture used for the Chevrolet Volt, but the 1.4-liter range extender engine will definitely not be making it, being replaced by a smaller engine, helped by a turbocharger.
The car will enter production in 2014 and it will be assembled alongside the future redesigned Volt at the Detroit Hamtramck Assembly plant, which will undergo changes to accommodate the increased volume of production.
We hope the production version of the ELR retains the concept’s truly excellent lines and styling cues which would make it one of the few genuinely good looking cars to come out of the US (and the bowels of GM, in particular) in recent years.
