Last week, Cadillac decided to tease the affluent potential buyers at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance with a new concept car that they say will be making its debut in next year’s auto show circuit.
They did not, however, reveal what their plans are in terms of production, nor did they tell us what it actually is. However, Clay Dean, Cadillac director of advanced design says that the concept is meant to “reflect back not for nostalgia, but what made us great at the time.”
Cadillac’s future plans include a new flagship sedan with rear-weel drive that will compete directly against the BMW 7-Series and Mercedes S-Class. However, this looks more like a sportscar with a sloping front end.
From the front view, the concept looks like the Alfa Rome 4C. Call it wishful thinking, but we’d like to believe that Cadillac has not forgotten about the Cien supercar concept. But this upcoming model seems to have the engine in the front, unlike the Cien.
