Honda has been busy the past few days with showing its brand new Jazz/Fit supermini to the international press. But it hasn't forgotten how important local market cars for the Asian market.
The Brio family of vehicle will get another member after the existing hatch and sedan, an entry-level MPV that will officially bow two months from now at the Indonesia Motor Show on September 19th.
Production will start in 2014 and the Brio MPV will be powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine with about 100 hp.
"The new Honda MPV has been developed especially for the needs of customers and road characteristics in Indonesia. This model will also be locally produced in Indonesia as the first product of its new Second Plant in Karawang, scheduled to begin operation in early 2014. This makes the new Honda MPV a very special product for Honda in Indonesia," said Tomoki Uchida, President Director of P.T. Honda Prospect Motor.
