While most of us are waiting for the 2014 Corvette Stingray to hit dealerships, some enthusiasts out there are putting a lot of work into turning their older Chevy Corvettes into drag strip monsters.
Take Gerald Bunce's 2008 Corvette for instance. It can provide an insane amount of 3,000+ HP and it looks ready to shatter a lot of drag strip records. Where's that power coming from you may ask? Well, Bunce fitted the front end with a 427 cubic inch Proline Racing engine and added Mast Motorsport Mozez heads, a Hogan's sheet metal intake manifold and Precision 88mm turbochargers.
Other tweaks include a Mark Williams narrowed solid axle centersection and 4-link suspension, as well as a couple of huge Goodyear slicks, which are mandatory with so many horses delivered to the rear wheels. Quite a monster, isn't it? Scroll below to watch the video and hear that powerplant roar.
