2013 Renault Clio IV RS Pricing and Options [Photo Gallery]
However, blogautomobile.fr has learned the Clio RS will cost €24,950 in Belgium as a Sport model, or €450 for the Cup version... which is strange, since the stripped down versions are usually cheaper. This version is the only one to get the bigger 18-inch wheels and a 10 mm lower (and stiffer) suspension.
We wouldn’t be too alarmed about this story. Car prices vary from country to country. For example, a Skoda can sometimes be more expensive than the equivalent VW in some market, and Renault models might be more expensive in their domestic French market than you might think.
For comparison’s sake, we searched high and low and found the Megane RS 265 is priced at €29,500 in Belgium. So, this five-door Clio seems to still be reasonably priced.
More interesting is the options list revealed by the Belgian blog. The standard paint is Glacial White (free). Deep black or Platinum Gray is €430, Flame Red is €530 and the snazzy metallic gold/yellow that you really want is €1,600. 18-inch wheels cost another €200 in silver or €450 in black with red calipers. To get a rough idea of what sort of combinations we’re talking about, check out the gallery below.
As a reminder, the new Clio RS is powered by a 1.6-liter turbo engine rated at 200 PS and 240 Nm. This is mated for the first time to an EDC six-speed double-clutch gearbox. It will be faster both in a straight line and and on the track.
Expect the full technical specs to be revealed in March, followed by a market debut scheduled somewhere in early-summer.
