New Clio IV RS Spotted Testing on Nurburgring

The Clio IV has been revealed, and with it Renault decided there wasn’t any need for the Clio RS to be hidden under camouflage. And so, a couple of test cars took to the streets in order to refine their chassis and recently ended up on the Nurburgring test track.
This video, captured by Youtube user fastsportscardriver, is the very one to show the new hot hatchling in action, and we have to say that it’ more impressive than anything we’ve seen in a long time. The thing just grips and doesn’t let go in any way and the back seems to be more planted than the current RS 200.

The new 1.6-liter turbo engine sounds throaty and powerful. And it is, pushing out either 200 or 210 hp depending on who you ask about it. The Clio RS is quite stiffly sprung, making it quite stable through the corners.

Let’s just hope Renault doesn’t forget what the fans want and delivers a car that’s faster than the current Clio III RS 200. We have enough economical hatchbacks in the world.
