APRILIA RSV 1000 R (2010-2011) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Aprilia RSV 1000 R was a sports motorcycle made by Aprilia in 2004 as a replacement model for the Aprilia RSV Mille. It continued production through 2010, when it was replaced by the Aprilia RSV4.

The bike was offered in three versions: the RSV 1000 R, which was the basic model, although the "R" suffix suggested the high-spec version of the Mille model, the RSV 1000 R Factory, which was the high-spec version of the range, and the RSV 1000 R Nera, which was a limited edition model.

In 2010, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Aprilia RSV 1000 R, a race-ready road-legal machine with race-derived features and the latest generation V60 Magnesium engine.

Suspension-wise, the bike packed a 43 mm upside-down adjustable Ohlins fork with 120 mm wheel travel on the front and a double-sided aluminum swingarm tied to an adjustable Sachs shock absorber with 133 mm of travel on the rear.

Two 320 mm brake discs mounted on the front wheel and a 220 mm disc mounted on the rear wheel achieved the braking performance. The front ones were engaged by four-piston calipers, while the rear one was squeezed by a dual-piston caliper.

As for the power figures, the 2010 Aprilia RSV 1000 R had installed a 998cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine at its core, delivering an output power of 143 hp at 10,000 rpm and 107 Nm (79 lb-ft) torque at 7,500 rpm.
