Electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles announces having established its first official dealer in Italy. Already enjoying a strong presence in Germany, Switzerland, Scandinavia and the Netherlands, Zero has taken a bold step in one of the strongest European motorcycle markets.
The first Italian partner of Zero Motorcycles is based in the north of the country, in one of the most important areas for motorcycling, Milan. E-move.me is an electric mobility retailer in the region, and it also operates a rental business.

This means that Italian customers will be able to buy Zero Motorcycles from e-move.me and also rent them for recreational riding, as well as book test rides to get acquainted with what 100% electric bikes feel like.

Zero brings its entire line-up to Italy

The California-based manufacturer adds that the Italian dealership will receive the entire bike line-up straight from the get go. Currently, Zero has four models on sale.

Zero S is the basic street bike, with a 298 km (185 miles) city range and a 153 km/h (95 mph) top speed complemented by its Zero SR max-performance, with a top speed of 164 km/h (102 mph).

Dual-sport enthusiasts have not been overlooked, as Zero offers the DS version, a bike that can effortlessly do tarmac and gravel, with a slightly smaller range and 158 km/h (98 mph) top speed, and more versatile suspensions.

The fourth model is the FX "stealtfighter" a bike whose strong points are the motocross-inspired architecture, knobby tires and ample suspensions which grant easy passability over obstacles and rough terrain. The FX is also the platform for Zero's military purpose, but that segment is another type of business.

CEO Richard Walker: "This is a vital step forward in our plans to expand global availability of Zero Motorcycles and an extension of our popularity throughout Europe." Umberto Uccelli, managing director of Zero Motorcycles Europe adds: "With premium componentry on the 2015 motorcycles and increased manufacturing capacity at our California headquarters, we are excited to offer our cutting-edge products to a country that is rich in motorcycle history and vital to the sport."
