These are history-making days, as Victory Motorcycles has recently announced that they will field a team in the electric race of the 2015 Isle of Man TT. The moment is even more important as it will mark the first time ever when Victory enters an European motorcycle racing event, and obviously, the TT debut.
Polaris, who also owns Victory and Indian, has recently acquired electric bike and powertrains manufacturer Brammo's bike division, so the move is not exactly a complete surprise.

One of Joey Dunlop's nephews, William Dunlop, will be at the helm of one of the electric Victory machines. The other will be ridden by Lee Johnston, also known as "General Lee".

Both bikes are equipped with dedicated racing motors and refined chassis that are designed to withstand the extreme conditions on the Mountain Course. Even the power cells have been tweaked to deliver higher performance as part of Victory's attempt debut TT.

World-class manufacturer Parker Hannifin provided GVM PMAC motors and "highly sophisticated electric controls to maximize peak power, power delivery, and durability."

The SES TT Zero Challenge one-lap race means a 37.73 mile (60.72 km) event around the Mountain Course and will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.

Now that Victory made its intentions official, we're waiting for the first road-going electric machine manufactured by the house of Spirit Lake.
