Aussie Dan Bilzerian Has more Sportscars and Ladies, But there’s a Catch

Hot models dressed in bikinis? Checked. Hundred-thousand-dollar driveway that includes Lamborghini, Ferrari and Rolls-Royce? Checked. Nickname? Checked. Opulent parties, helicopters, minions, swimming pool and a Hugh Hefner-like mansion? Checked. Poker? Nope, just pure tobacco business.

I know, the world can only have that many Dan Bilzerians, but since we’re changing the continents for this gig, we figured it’s fair. Before we disclose this Australian wise guy’s full identity, we’ll start by talking of the resemblances between him and his fellow American poker player.

Similar to what Bilzerian does, this fellow also posts images with utterly expensive cars. We’re talking about a bunch of Rolls-Royces, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, SUVs and whatnot. As opposed to the millionaire poker player, however, some of them have the tobacco company's emblem wrapped on the side of doors so we can only assume they are part of some collection. It could be his personal collection, but we doubt it.

Most of the pictures of the incredibly sexy babes rather look like professional pictorials, just like Dan Bilzerian’s photos do. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised to find that at least half of these jaw-dropping beauties are professional fashion models.

Everything appears to be staged

Moving on to the parties he teases his followers with on social networks. They might seem like something taken out of The Great Gatsby movie, but with a closer look you’ll find that these too are staged. To be honest, looking at the man’s Instagram account feels like we’re turning over pages in a glossy, age-restricted magazine.

We don’t have any interest in this fellow’s lifestyle, but since we did find his car collection rather intriguing we figured digging a bit deeper is necessary. The guy’s nickname is CandyMan, and that has something to do with his actual job that is being the director of Australian tobacco company FreeChoice. According to Gold Coast Bulletin, Travers Beynon (on his real name) is, in fact, a former North Melbourne Australian Football player who currently lives in Queensland.

His sports career did not last for long, as he left the AFL because of a back injury and then moved to the US. Here he spent ten years modeling and then returned in Ozzie-land to join the business that his parents Trevor and Sandra set up in 1991. It was nine years ago when he took over FreeChoice as the company’s managing director.

And here’s where the catch is. Since Australia’s smoking laws are quite strict, the "Dan Bilzerian of Australia" apparently uses his extravagant parties, opulent lifestyle and even Instagram activity to promote the company’s products.

The use of social media to advertise smoking and the sale of tobacco products... undermines the strong tobacco control measures that have been introduced in Queensland to protect the community from the harmful effects of smoking,” a spokeswoman for the Cancer Council Queensland told the source.

So here we are now wondering what exactly is Bilzerian promoting?
