Young Japanese Driver Flees Scene After Contact with Truck

We really love and appreciate young people driving their cars as they should be driven, having fun and improving their fast driving skills - we’re all for that and we encourage it. However, not when it’s in the detriment of other drivers who could be the victim of an inexperienced driver showing off.
Take this young Japanese driver in his (probably modified) 1990s Honda Civic sedan as he does a burnout, then takes off into traffic and does a handbrake turn exactly in front of an oncoming truck, hitting it and ruining the front of his car. This shows his clear lack of experience, as this feat (if you are willing to risk your license and a hefty fine) is quite spectacular, but in such situations, you need to have an idea of everything that’s going on around you - he doesn’t.

However, what happens next, we do not agree with, as the driver flees the scene of the accident, with the front of his car completely ruined, and then he is filmed getting out of his car and cheering. What did the truck driver do to deserve a day ruined like that, with no explanation and no apology (at least)? Shame on the Civic driver for running away from the scene - if you ever cause an accident, never run away, as it’s your duty (both moral and legal) to face whatever you’ve caused!
