Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages, today, we're going to be taking a little trip aboard one of the yachting industry's most dynamic and luxurious ships, fittingly dubbed Inspiration.
The lifestyle of the rich and anonymous is hard to fathom for us average Joes. However, even the rich sell off their toys for whatever reasons, and one machine that's currently on the market is Inspiration, a 125-foot (38 m) floating dream that's built by one of the world's most revered shipyards, Benetti. Better start scrounging for $16M because this one is on a whole different level than what we're used to seeing.

Now, whenever we take a trip through the world's most expensive toys, it helps to consider a few things, one of which is who the previous owners of such a vessel may have been. Well, we're out of luck here, as they seem to want to remain anonymous for the time being. Why is this important? Simply because it's their taste that you're buying into.

That said, I invite you to take a few minutes out of your busy day to scroll through the images in the gallery. Once you do, come back to the text and continue.

If you're like me, what might have attracted you most to this massive machine is the amount of outdoor living space. I'll be honest; it's not often that you see such an inclination toward outdoor living on such ships. I'm not saying other superyachts don't offer plenty of alfresco space, but the Inspiration can be seen as what an outdoor-oriented yacht should look like.

Not only does the front of the ship place plenty of options at guest's disposals, but at the opposite end, nearly half of each deck is for outdoor activities such as lounging in the sun, having a chat with friends, eating, drinking, and on the lowest deck, a massive beach club sits in wait for water-loving humanoids.

This space is accessed by a hatch at the rear of Inspiration that lowers to create a diving platform or a space to add a couple more lounges. This is also the place where you can board other watercraft, some of which are carried in Inspiration's toy garage.

There's just one more outdoor living trick up Inspiration's sleeve that you need to be aware of. While scrolling through the images, I'm sure you noticed portions of this ship's hull extending well beyond the established beam. These little nests are but one of the little tricks that Benetti is known for, and there's no need for me to point out the things you can do here. Talk about getting your dose of, well, "inspiration."

With the exterior out of the way, let's take a stroll through all the little interior spaces found on board. Actually, little is an understatement because, by the looks of what Northrop & Johnson (the brokers for this deal) are showing off, the interiors of Inspiration are anything but little.

On the contrary, lounge after lounge and stateroom after stateroom have an airy feeling about them, granted by high-rise ceilings, minimalist furniture, and materials that blend perfectly to create an effect of space. What I'm talking about here may sound like gibberish, but you get the idea for sure. Then there's the lighting, both natural and artificial, bringing about a glow to everything inside.

Aside from the lounges and other social areas, a few spaces need to be on your radar. One of them is this vessel's gym, ready to help you burn off last night's alcohol, a jacuzzi at the bow, and most importantly, the owner's beam-to-beam suite, the latter of which includes those floating balconies I mentioned.

For the remainder of this little short exploration into Inspiration, I want you to picture yourself in the center of all the action. Wake up in the middle of nowhere with nothing but some patches of island here and there, have breakfast, take a dip in the local waters, and for lunch, hop in a tender and explore uncharted bays and coves. Later on, you'll return with fresh knowledge and experiences and enjoy the rest of what this $16M machine has to offer.

Now, I understand that it's rather difficult to understand what this ship has to offer just from where you're standing. That said, if you're ever in Fort Lauderdale, hop onto Northrop & Johnson's website, take down their contact number, and see this beauty for yourself.

But, before you do, consider this one thing: $16M is a whole lot of cash. That said, it may be hard for just one person to afford all of this luxury, but then again, we or they don't have to. Here's a thought: Inspiration can accommodate 11 guests in total, and that means its price tag can be split eleven ways, leaving everyone with a bill of a tad over $1M to get their hands on this floating marvel. After all, how many of us can say we own a superyacht for around $1M?
