Ever since comedians and TV hosts started spoofing Matthew McConaughey’s Lincoln Ad, sales are up with about 25% so there is no wonder the Oscar winning actor keeps showing his big smile. And it was a big smile on his face the other day on the famous The Ellen Show when the TV host showed the actor her prank on the advertorial. What is even funnier is that he never saw it before.
We did already write about the whole marketing venture folks over at Ford did the moment they had Interstellar actor Matthew McConaughey join the club of celebrities that promote their cars. Not that the advertorials themselves weren’t good enough, but it turns out all the good laughs everybody had on the Oscar actor’s expense were quite effective for the company’s sales, as well.

Apart from Jim Carrey’s act, Ellen DeGeneres also took her part in the “spoof series”. Ellen may not have been in Matthew’s original commercial, but that didn’t stop her from adding herself into it. Problem is, the actor never got to see himself in the spoof until the other day, when he was invited at her show.

Brownies and Lil Jon’s Turn Down for What song

The two have quite the laugh while looking at Ellen sitting in the back and filling up all the blank parts of the commercial, sort of answering the actor’s lines. “Whatever you put in these brownies, I don’t know what they are, but boy, they are delicious” Ellen tells him while she’s sitting in the back of the MKC crossover.

The whole time fans can see McCounaughey watching the spoof on set of the show. He’s obviously laughing and seems to be enjoying Ellen’s little prank, like we all did. It turns out the best part of Ellen’s prank was when shw stops the guitar music playing in the background and switches on the radio for Lil Jon’s famous “Turn Down for What” hit.
