Automotive news with a twist today, as Volvo announces their cars will transport about 400 guests that have been invited to attend Sweden’s Princess Estelle's christening in Stockholm's Royal Chapel on 22 May.
No less than 50 cars have been provided for the job by Volvo Car Corporation, and they should be familiar to attendees and TV viewers, as 85 white Volvos were also used by guests at the wedding between Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel in June 2010. Those would be Princess Estelle’s parents if you haven’t figured it out already.

"We will have the cars from the day before the christening to the day after. The cars will mostly be driven by members of Sweden's Voluntary Motor Transport Corps," says Court Equerry Mertil Melin.

"We are delighted that Volvo Car Corporation can participate in historic royal events such as the wedding between Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and now at Princess Estelle's christening," says Olle Axelson, Senior Vice President Public Affairs at Volvo Car Corporation.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
