It might seem like classic marketing and old-school showbiz promotion, but it appears that the veterans starring in the seventh installment of the Fast and Furious saga are still having a hard time to getting over the tragic death of Paul Walker. As a producer and one of the people who grew into a huge friend over the years the movies would roll, Vin Diesel has decided to honor him.
Vin Diesel and his girlfriend, Paloma Jimenez, welcomed their newborn on March 16, a baby girl they decided to name Pauline after the late Paul Walker. The girl is their third child together, as the two are already parents to Hania Riley Sinclair, 6, and son Vincent Sinclair, 4. The fact that Furious 7’s producer is still reeling from Walker’s death is more than normal, yet things got really emotional the other week, when the 47-year old actor introduced the premiere of the movie at a screening in California.

Diesel had a couple of choking moments as he’d remember of his collaboration with Walker and how they both grew close during the Fast and Furious films. “This was a labor of love and in some ways hardest movie I’ve ever had to do, because the relationships that you see on film are so real,” Vin told the small crowd who was trying to encourage him.

Doing an interview with Entertainment Today on Monday, the Furious 7 producer explained how he felt Walker’s presence during the birth of his third child. “A lot of guys will tell you to stay out of that delivery room, but I’m going to tell you to go in there and be as present as you can. And you cut the umbilical cord,” Walker apparently told Diesel when he was still alive.
