The world premiere of the long-awaited seventh installment of the Fast and Furious saga might have been scheduled for April 3rd but there are a bunch of lucky fans out there who already had the chance to see it. After they rolled the movie at this year’s South By Southwest fest in Austin, a small group of critics, awards voters and others got the chance to watch Furious 7 in California on Monday night. Vin Diesel was there to premiere it.
Like we said, the first exclusive screening of Furious 7 was a last minute call Universal Studious took when they decided to premiere it at a secret midnight rolling, during this year’s SXSW in Austin. A couple of days later, a short clip showing Vin Diesel doing an emotional speech introducing the movie to a small crowd in California now emerges, proving there was yet another showcasing of the film.

Being one of the producers and a veteran actors of the series, the 47-year old was filmed getting all emotional as he talked about his late friend and co-star, Paul Walker by one of the people in the crowd.

"This was a labor of love, and in some ways hardest movie I’ve ever had to do, because the relationships that you see on film are so real. When the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend. I lost my brother,” Diesel told the crowd as his eyes would tear up.

Like we all know, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker grew close during the Fast and Furious films and before the movie started to role, you can see the producer once again dedicating the film to his lost friend, saying “that this is our gift to you. And more importantly, it’s for my brother there. Let it be the legacy we know he deserves”.

If all the other teasers Universal Studious has been releasing in order to promote the movie haven’t done the job properly, we’re pretty sure this clip will go viral in a matter of hours.

As to Furious 7, well, I guess we'll find out how good it really is on April 3rd.
